TSA#32 – Finish That Project

Jun 25, 2012 by

I’m a big fan of projects.  I have lots of ideas and always have several projects in varying stages of completeness going on at any given time.  This can get a little out of control as I get new ideas and want to start other projects while leaving unfinished ones in different stages of completeness.

One thing that I sometimes have to force myself to do is not start new projects until I finish up the old uncompleted ones.  Part of this is just so I can have the room to start the new projects but sometimes its just for my sanity.  I need to finish the old before starting on the new.  Finishing up projects and cleaning out my workspace in the garage or house gives me a clear head to think about what I might want to take on next.  This past weekend was the weekend for finishing up projects around the house.  My family is coming to visit this week so I set out about tackling all the 75% projects around the house and garage and finishing those up.

Your TSA for this week is to finish “that project”.  Yes you know the one.  Its the one that popped into your mind when I said “that project”.  Its time to get inspired and muster up the energy to finish it up and cross it off your list.  Also don’t underestimate the satisfaction of not having it on your to do list anymore.  That is a great feeling.

Here is one of my big projects that I finally finished up this weekend. Its a new door I built for our hall closet and I am so happy with how it turned out.   I’ll post more on this project as I am very proud of it.

*Update* – More finished pictures of the door.

TSA = Truly Simple Actions The goal of the TSA project is to improve your life and help make this world a better place, one simple action at a time.  Take time this week to do this one simple thing.
