Guard Your Reputation
There aren’t many things in life that you truly have control over. Your reputation is one of the rare things that you control and it should be guarded.
I recently asked a friend to do something for us. After they accepted, I knew deep down that it wasn’t going to happen, but was still sadly disappointed when in fact it did not happen. What made it worse was the fact that this was becoming a pattern in their life. They used to have a great reputation of someone I could count on, but now I can almost expect that they won’t follow through with things they said they would do.
This really bothered me and prompted me to think about reputations.
The simple truth of reputations is that you can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do. You can only build it on what you do. It’s all about follow through and doing what you said you would do.
So that is your TSA for this week.
Have you said you would do something? Then go do it. It’s just that simple
